Who is collecting the data?
EAASM non profit Community Interest Company is committed to protect and respect your privacy in compliance with EU-General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679, dated April 27th, 2016.

This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.
Why do we collect personal data about you?
We may collect and process the following data about you:
- Your name, address, telephone number, organisation and email address.
- If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
- We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
- Details of your visits to our websites and the resources that you access.
- We may send you our newsletter or items that are soley for information purposes and not for any commercial purposes in line with our reason for being: that of enhancing patient safety
EAASM will endeavour to protect any personal information you may provide to ensure it remains confidential, and is used only for the purpose described above.
Where do we store your personal data?
All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our websites; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
How do we use information collected?
Any information that you supply to EAASM or data that we collect will be processed by or on behalf of EAASM. You agree that we may, and we confirm that we will only use, the information you provide to us or the data that we collect for the following reasons:

- to help us develop the EAASM website to be more useful to you
- to provide you with information that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, in these instances we will always give you the opportunity to opt out from receiving such information

- to send you invitation to events related to the activity of our association
We will not, in any instance, sell or release your information to third parties unless we are required to do so by law.
How long do we keep your personal data?
We store personal data for as long as we find it necessary to fulfil the purpose for which the personal data was collected, while also considering our need to answer your queries or resolve possible problems, to comply with legal requirements under applicable laws, to attend to any legal claims/complaints, and for safeguarding purposes.
This means that we may retain your personal data for a reasonable period of time after your last interaction with us. When the personal data that we have collected is no longer required, we will delete it in a secure manner. We may process data for statistical purposes, but in such cases, data will be anonymised.
What rights does the data subject have?

Right to access
Data subjects shall have access to the source of their personal data, a copy of the data that is being processed, processing information (who, what, when, where, why), and confirmation of automated decision making.
Rectification
Data subjects shall be able to correct or complete their personal data. This covers objectively and subjectively incorrect data (i.e. the ability to challenge a bad performance review).
Limitation
Data subjects shall be able to specify limitations to rights of access and rectification, within certain parameters.
Portability
This is an extension of the access right. Data subjects have the right receive their data in a structured and machine-readable form, and they also have the right to request a transfer of their data to another provider.
Erasure
Data subjects have the right to have personal data erased if it is no longer necessary for the purpose. They also have the right to withdraw consent.
Right to be forgotten
This is an extension of the right to erasure, and entitles data subjects to have their personal data removed from indexes, i.e. Google.
How can the data subject raise a complaint?
Access to information
The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act.
EAASM takes all reasonable security measures to protect personal information from loss, unauthorised access, destruction, misuse, modification or disclosure. As far as permissible under law, EAASM accepts no responsibility for the unauthorised access of personal information held by EAASM.
If you require your record to be removed or amended, please write to the EAASM Secretariat at the address below with proof of identification.
You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data.
